Looking for a sports fix? Here’s where to watch UFC 249
Right now we’re seeing the cancellation of most major sporting events amid the coronavirus outbreak. For those sports lovers looking for something to scratch their itch, the god news is COVID-19 isn’t going to stop Dana White and UFC from holding its latest major mixed martial arts event.
On Saturday, April 18, barring some last-minute issue, you should be able to stream UFC 249. The event will begin at 10 p.m. Eastern time.
The fight’s card is still up in the air as of this writing. The main event was supposed to be a world lightweight championship match between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson. However, White has confirmed via Twitter that Nurmagomedov will not be able to travel from his native Russia to the US for the fight. The actual location for UFC 249 has also not been revealed yet. We will update this article when we learn more information.

Here’s how to watch UFC 249
UFC 249 is exclusive to ESPN Plus. So first you’ll have to sign up for ESPN Plus for $4.99 a month, or for $49.99 for an annual subscription. Unfortunately, there’s a bit more to it than that. To watch UFC 249 you’ll also need to pay for the pay-per-view match, which costs $65. That said, there is a better option. ESPN Plus is offering a special UFC Bundle. For $84.95, you get an annual subscription to the service, plus access to one UFC PPV event, like the upcoming UFC 249 match. You will save 25% overall with this bundle deal.
ESPN Plus offers more for UFC fans than just access to its biggest matches. It also offers live streams of UFC press conferences, replays of the major matches, talk shows, and original UFC-themed series. And of course, there are plenty of other sports events beyond just UFC and mixed martial arts.
Also, consider getting a Disney Plus bundle
Yes, we know Disney Plus has nothing to do with sports. That said, if you have a family, it could be one heck of a value. Right now most of the world is couped up at home. Streaming services make a great way to pass the time, and right now Disney is offering the Disney-Hulu-ESPN Plus bundle for $12.99 a month. With this deal, you can get all the sports news, documentaries and live events on ESPN Plus, along with great entertainment from Disney Plus and Hulu.
Disney Plus, in particular, has been really hitting it out of the park recently by releasing popular movies early like Onward and Frozen 2. So why not get your sports fix and also appease the rest of the family too?
