Master & Dynamic’s new headphones will help keep your commute quiet while staying stylish

Master & Dynamic The MW65 headphones weigh just 250g and feature Google Assistant integration.
Today, premium audio company Master & Dynamic unveiled its first noise cancelling headphones: the MW65. The over-ear headphones feature integrated Google Assistant, allowing listeners to access the virtual assistant at a moment’s notice to set alarms, reminders, have incoming notifications read aloud, and more.
Much like other noise-cancelling headphones, the MW65 allows users to toggle noise-cancelling strength. In this case, listeners are afforded two settings: high and low ANC, which is facilitated by two beamforming microphones to combat external noise. The headphones house 40mm dynamic drivers and appear much more svelte than the Audio-Technica ATH-M40x which contain identically sized drivers.
Externally, the Master & Dynamic MW65 headphones are stunning. Granted, we expect nothing less from the company that brought us the ostentatious Louis Vuitton-branded true wireless. The outer ear cups and headband are made from heavy grain leathers which match the lambskin-wrapped memory foam ear pads. These materials complement the scratch-resistant aluminum accents.
The headphones operate via Bluetooth 4.2 and support aptX HD. They allow for a 20-meter wireless range and up to 24 hours of playback before requiring a recharge via the included USB-C cable. Listeners who are crunched for time can enjoy a 50 percent charge after just 15 minutes of charging.
- The Master & Dynamic MW65 noise cancelling headphones consist of premium leathers and anodized aluminum.
- The MW65 headphones let users toggle between high and low noise cancelling.
- The MW65 headphones weigh just 250g and feature Google Assistant integration.
Master & Dynamic’s MW65 noise cancelling headphones are available in Brown Leather, Silver Metal, and Black Leather with Gunmetal. They retail for $499 — an exorbitant price — but as SoundGuyswill tell you, more often than not premium headphones are worth it.
