Xiaomi sends out invites to Poco launch: A global affair for Poco F2?
We’ve all been expecting the Poco F2 series to land in 2020, and it now seems like Xiaomi and Poco are finally ready to make it a reality.
Xiaomi’s Spanish PR agency has just sent virtual invites to a Poco event. The invites, sent to Android Authority as well, confirm an event scheduled for Tuesday May 12. So what should we actually expect then?
The official Poco Twitter account has revealed that the company will announce a “second generation” product. This all but guarantees that we’ll see a Poco F2 series phone, as we’re long overdue for a Poco F1 successor. And it would be too soon for a successor to the only other Poco device (the Poco X2), which launched earlier this year.
We focus on one thing that truly matters:
We surpass ourselves everyday.

Recent leaks also point to a Poco M2 device, so it’s possible that we’ll see both the Poco F2 family and the Poco M2 series next week. But we definitely think the mention of a “second-generation” product means the Poco F1 successor will be revealed at the very least.
It’s also interesting to note that Xiaomi Spain sent us the invite, suggesting that this is a global or European launch rather than an India-only affair like the Poco X2.
