Google was originally expected to reveal Android 11 details and potentially the Pixel 4a at the I/O developer event taking place in May each year. Unfortunately, the firm had to cancel the real-world event and confirmed at the time that it would hold an online event on June 3 instead.

Now, Google has announced via its Android Developers Twitter account that its postponing the online event and Android 11 beta release once again.

“We are excited to tell you more about Android 11, but now is not the time to celebrate. We are postponing the June 3rd event and beta release. We’ll be back with more on Android 11, soon,” read a tweet from the firm.

Google didn’t reveal a new date for the event, but tech tipster Jon Prosser claimed last week that the Pixel 4a is now scheduled for a July 13 reveal. If true, this means we can likely expect the Android 11 beta release on this date too.

Google has already released the Android 11 developer preview, revealing features like native screen recording and notification history functionality. But what would you like to see in the beta and stable releases? Let us know in the comments section below.
