Deal: Kindle Basic and Kindle Paperwhite on sale for 35% off

The Amazon Kindle series is one of the most popular e-readers on the market. Amazon’s 10th generation has been a great success so far with all three models scoring high marks in reviews. Now, you can get the Kindle Basic (base model) and the Kindle Paperwhite for up to 35% off.

The Kindle Basic 3, or the 10th generation base model, is on sale for $59.99 plus free shipping. The price is for the version with special offers and 4GB of storage. It offers weeks of battery life, a 4 LED backlight, and a 6-inch display with 167ppi. The version without special offers is also running for $79.99.

However, for an extra $25, you can get the Kindle Paperwhite instead. It’s also on sale for $84.99 (with special offers). The price bump nets you a 300ppi display, a 5 LED backlight, a flush front display, an IPX8 certification, and doubles the onboard storage to 8GB. Like the base model Kindle, all four variants of the Kindle Paperwhite (8GB and 32GB with and without special offers) are on sale for fairly decent prices.

Both e-readers represent a decent value. We personally don’t mind the special offers since they aren’t visible while actually reading, so it might not be worth the $10-$15 to remove them. We recommend the Kindle Paperwhite if you can swing the extra $25 because its extra features and specs are easily worth the price. However, there is no shame with a $60 base model either.

Of course, both pale in comparison to the Kindle Oasis 2019 with its larger screen, warm light settings, and even better specs. However, that model isn’t on sale like its 10th generation siblings.
