Samsung Galaxy S10 series gets stable Android 10 update in more countries
Update, December 3, 2019 (6:29AM ET): The stable Android 10-based One UI 2.0 update went out to Galaxy S10 users in Germany late last month. Fortunately, it arrived for people in the beta program and those who hadn’t enrolled in the initiative. Now, it looks like Samsung has initiated a wider rollout of the update.
According to TizenHelp and the GalaxyS10 subreddit, the update is now available to stable users in the likes of Algeria, Bangladesh, France, India, Ireland, Poland, Russia, Spain, the UAE, and the UK. We previously noted that the stable One UI 2.0 update in Germany delivered the December 2019 security patch too, and this is the case here too. It’s unclear if US Galaxy S10 owners have received the update as well.
Don’t despair if you haven’t received the update, as it’s likely a phased release. Update releases often depend on network testing too. Have you received the update? Give us all the details (e.g. phone model and country) in the comments section!

The Galaxy S10, S10 Plus, and S10e launched with Android 9 Pie, the then-latest version of Android. They are expected to receive two major updates in the future in keeping with most flagship Android phones.
Users in Germany (including those who didn’t participate in the beta program) received the stable Android 10 update on November 28. So it stands to reason that other regions should receive the update before the end of the year.
Samsung added a bunch of Note 10 features to its Samsung Galaxy S10 family shortly after the phablet line launched.
On November 8, 2019, the South Korean firm brought even more Note 10 functionality to its S series phones.
The Gallery app was updated to search for photos using keywords like “cat” to see… photos of cats.
Samsung also added an enhanced device search which finds content within streaming apps. A Media & Devices button was also added in the Quick Panel to lets users control a bunch of connected devices.
Alongside the fun but silly AR Doodle camera mode, the only other Note 10 feature to make the transition was a tweak to Samsung Dex which lets users dynamically edit videos when connected to a PC or Mac.
You can read the official blog post with all the changes here.
An Android 10-based One UI 2.0 beta is currently in progress in the US, South Korea, and other select markets.
